I have never hit a bird in my life with any car till i got my MX5, now they seem to try to commit suicide swooping in the front of my car, i have killed 3 for sure and 2 on the windshield that just flew away after, is it the car, me or the birds? im not doing like 80mph when i hit them either its more like 30-50. anyone else have this happen to them?

i took out a goose on my way to work one day. poor thing stepped into the road right as i was coming around the corner, all i heard was a "thud".

the bird is trying to drop and bust a nut open as your car wheels drive over it. you are driving a little faster through that curve than others and the bird doesn't adjust in time before it bounces off your windshield like an angry bird.

I remember when I was about 8 or 9, a bird flew right into my dads jeep. He wasn't even moving lol. That was funny.

I blasted a pigeon about a month ago in one of the company cars on 95. A truck passed me and I think the pressure change was just a bit too much for the bird to overcome and it got sucked right down in front of me. Literally looked like a bird grenade when off in front of me.

I hit 2 birds in a week when i first got my license in 02 and havent hit one since.

never hit one myself but was a passenger when my buddy hit a turkey buzzard ( or whatever they're called) caved the whole windshield in on a 1500 silverado going about 40mph. scary as f*ck
