1989 Ford Mustang Gt w/ 4G63 & TH350 swap

Hello, my name is Matt and currently in progress is my 89 Mustang GT with a Mitsubishi 4g63 swap attached to a Chevrolet Turbo 350 Transmission. After I dynoed my Talon @ 440whp I thought I hurt the engine so decided to pulled my unbroken-in engine out. Turned out to only be carbon build up on the valve but instead of returning it to the Talon chassis I decided to go a different route by putting the engine is a fox body. Excellent drag race platform. Easy to find parts for and CHEAP. No one likes to replace transmission, transfer cases, axles, and drive shafts on dsm every time you upgrade something. A guy in Ohio makes adapter plates from Mitsu to Auto Chevys which was perfect for what I wanted to do. I talked a local guy down to $700 for a Mustang shell with no engine, no trans. Again, perfect. As its nearing its completion, I only have a wiring harness to put in, intercooler piping, and radiator lines. Although the engine only has 200 miles on it, I will still be going to car shows and drag racing events when the season begins. Looking forward to seeing you mofos out on the street or at the strip.

**** YES!! I see an awesome build coming on. My only concern is that you're using that Mishimoto trash pictured in your avatar....

Haha. Mishimoto gave me an awesome deal on the radiator and fans and shroud. All their products are lifetime warranty even if you crash your car or put a wrench through it.

This is awesome and your completely right about the cheap body/suspension parts! What are you doing about the rear? If there's anything you need let me know! Please come to the AmericanMuscle.com show this year. People wont be able to comprehend this.

Very cool so far. The only downfall... is the sexy exhaust you won't get from the Ford V8.

I can't believe there are two people with 4G63T swapped Fox bodies. Either way, good luck with the build and welcome to the site! If your car turns out half as awesome as the other Frankenstang, it will be sick.
