Arrow My LED Conversion: Dash, Turn Signals, Dome Lights, Shift Indicators, etc.

I decided to replace as many bulbs as I could with LED's on the interior of my ZJ.

Video here - shot with my cell, though, at 800 iso, so pardon the huge amount of graininess!

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gzjTQxR5iQs

I purchased them from VLEDs. The following are used...

Blue LED's:

White LED's:

And the dome lights are white as well - I'll add a photo later.

Green LED's: Turn Signals (Forgot to take a photo, will add later)

the dash looks good. I'd try and find a different color for the needles so you can have some type of contrast.

It looks a bit worse in the photos & video's. It's actually very easy to see at night. Don't you love how photos & video's do that??

That's about what it looks like. I'll take a photo with my D2x and show ya Cell phone shots suck for actual color, etc.

Shot of the turn signals as well, I need a night shot. I think I need to change these out to dimmer LED's as they are BRIGHT:

I did red ones in my TJ, It's easier on the eye then blue when driving at night.

Rhodopsin in the human rods is less sensitive to the longer red wavelengths of light, so many people use red light to help preserve night vision as it only slowly depletes the eye's rhodopsin stores in the rods and instead is viewed by the cones.

Mmhmm, that's why I like using red flashlights at night when fishing and such. I was going to do red as well, but I like the blue look. Do you have shots of your gauge cluster? I want to see what the red looks like. I may convert again down the road when the blue bores me
