quick question that you might have already researched, is the 00-04 Outback chassis different from the 00-04 legacy/legacy gt chassis? If not, then maybe you could use the h&r springs from the 00-04 legacy chassis. Either way you still have an awesome baja! haha

I already dropped off the 03 springs at the shop. I'm just waiting to hear that the coilovers were shipped to the guy who bought them. He's being REALLY patient. I just got off the phone with him. lol.

I'm gonna pay-pal him a hundred bucks BACK for the delay.

Sometimes I think of selling it & getting a STi.

Ugghhh......

NOW my dirt cheap beater car is losing brake fluid....

I'm buyin' a damn mountain bike, some under armor thermals & ditching this whole internal combustion engine powered vehicle thing.... it's just a fad.

Seriously though, my bad luck with vehicles has been going strong for 20 years..... I think there're little gremlins following me around.

Ha Ha Ha HA, HA HA HAAAAA !!!!

I picked the Baja up tonight

Ryan & the guys @ Area1320 found where the boost leaks were.

The threaded universal mounting holes in the AWIC core were wide open & needed to be plugged.

It says a lot for my "Blouch" rebuilt 18G.... since it was still making 25-26 lbs of boost It hits boost SO much faster now.

The coilovers are replaced with new KYB GR2 struts & new springs for an 03 Baja. The front is RIGHT where I wanted it... The rears are a little too high still.

I'm looking into Legacy rear springs at this point .... since ther're no other choices.

It was REALLY nice to drive it.... & NOT get bounced out of my seat.

Glad to hear things are turning around on the Baja! Hopefully 2012 will treat you better with car luck.

I look at it this way, the world is supposed to end in 2012 which in turn means the baja will run right. Kind of like a counter balance haha

I believe in Karma.
This guy from WASHINGTON State PayPal'd me 600 bucks for parts that were still on my car.
He has waited MORE than patiently as one thing after the next stopped his parts from getting shipped.
He didn't contact PayPal for a refund.
He waited almost a month over the time limit we originally estimated.
He treated me right.
He's getting some cash back.
It's the right thing to do in my book.

It's been quite a while since an update.
I still hate the Baja.
Replacing front rotors turned to this.... Front calipers (Wilwoods) are bound up pretty badly. Pads have really uneven wear. Calipers may have to be sent out for repair OR replaced. The only up side is that the new rotors are the right size.

Up pipe is hitting the frame crossmember.

Trans needs to be opened up to have a different style axles installed because mine keep popping out of the case. Even with a new retaining clip...

EGTs are still abnormally high & AFR gauge is also reading a little high at freeway speeds & does a warning flash during 4th gear pulls....

At least I have my 99 Buick Regal GSE DD now.... god only knows when it's going to be finished.

Wasn't me... Must have been Rich from FFS. Probably on the way to work. They're taking care of what I thought were just a few small issues for me & I get to re-grade their lot with my tractor. ;)
