I've stepped my game down because I really don't have the funds to pull off having a project unless its near running. Limits what I can look at.

I know that feeling. I have 2 projects right now and a serious lack of funds.

I just tore down my motorcycle yesterday due to knocking in the bottom end. Good news: it was "just" a worn primary chain. Bad news: I need to spend a bunch on new gaskets and cables since they are shot on a 35 year old motorcycle.

At the same time, I want to work on getting the Talon setup to run 275 or 285 tires. So that will take some custom work getting fender flares fitted and money rounded up for 17 or 18x10.5" rims.

I've also been wanting to continue working on getting a HE351VGT on my car. Next step there is to buy a turbo so I can see what I need to do to get it to fit. I bought the Arduino already, but I need to get the turbo so I can start writing code to control it.

The Talon is also getting closer and closer to the point where I no longer want to DD it. It's reliable and all, but it needs some downtime for work. I'd like to pick up a beater for a bit.

Lots of ideas, but not enough money. Oh well.

yeah im right there with ya. I JUST got better o2 sensors for the DD focus & fixed the coolant leak. I have to buy tures for that next. the black "fun car" focus has an oil leak that NEVER should have happened, but outsourcing to perma-cool for the SC oil filter relocation lines was not a good choice, lets say that. Now i meed $350 worth of -AN lines @ oil filter plate.

the talon needs the BS belt back on after trying that for a week...no bueno. other than that the talon is ready for DD winter use. damn thing keeps getting back-burnered for the fucuses. i need to sell one but i gotta gets funs to get them fully "sellable" first.

yay cars. better than women tho :P

It gets frustrating, but this GVR4 is promising so we'll see what's up.

Why not just eliminate the BS all together? One less thing to fail and take out your timing belt.

Did you say 285s on a 2g? Very interested in how that will turn out. Give DimeCityCycles.com a peep, they have a ton of 70s Honda parts on the cheap.

Anybody know the symptoms of fouled plugs on a DSM? Is could they cause hardcore breaking up?

Fouled plugs on any car could cause terrible braking up,but also a dizzy could as well, prevent adequate spark.

Fouled plugs always cause breaking up on boosted cars; choking on lack of sparks.

What is your gap? Are the plugs black or tan?

I just finished up another one and am moving onto the next, With winter here I'm sure everyone will be building something over winter, Regardless of what it is !! I finally get to bring my r33 in next week to strip it and build it / color change it before I list it forsale on ebay/etc (Hopefully the build will only take a month or so).

Yeah 285's. Some guys run them with super stiff springs in the front and just let them poke for autox, but I'd like to tuck them some. Guys doing that run 900# springs and less than a 1" drop. I have 600# springs and would like a 1.5"-2" drop. Plus, I've never seen bolt on fender flares on a 2g. I want to paint my car white, and I may swap to a 2gb Eclipse front bumper.

And thanks for the tip on Dime City Cycles. I found a forum that supports this motorcycle, and it's making it a lot easier to tear it down. But it is taking money from the DSM...

So what are you doing with the 2gb Talon front? I think I'm going to repaint my car white and my current bumper is really messed up.

you better stay green!!! i love the green! its rare as hell. i love ur car man dont be dum dum like that!

It's rare, so I can't even find touch up paint for it any more. It's only on 1 year of 2gb Talon. Makes it almost impossible to buy used body panels in a matching color to cheaply fix damage. It's great for flying below the radar, but I'm getting bored with it. It needs repainted, and it's going to be more expensive if I go with that green again.

At this point, I need a new front bumper, hood, and both front fenders. If I want to stay green, I need to buy a parts car of the same color. I've been keeping an eye out for one, but haven't had any luck.

The other reason for the color change is that I want to get black ABS plastic fender flares from a 280z and put them on my car. Then I can run a nice wide tire. I think the black would look better with the white than it would with the green. I might have to get fiberglass ones because I can't find ABS ones yet. I'd rather have ABS so I don't break them at autox.

If I repaint the car, I'll also be sure to pick up some 2ga Talon sideskirts. It would still keep the black top and 2gb Talon spoiler.
