I picked up my 97 Talon Tsi AWD with 192,000 miles on it. The guy had all the paperwork showing it had been dealer serviced. I should have looked at the papers more closely though. The "new" engine was actually a used one with 65k miles on it and the transmission had been sent out to a shop that used ??? brand parts.
Since then, my biggest (most expensive) problem with the mileage has been the wheel bearings. They were seized in the hubs. Had to replace 2 axles out of the 3 wheel bearings I've done. My cars has 257,000 miles on it, and it's still my DD.

High mileage doesn't scare me too much, just rust issues. The other benefit on the 2G side of things is that decent suspension (Billstein, KW) is available without modification. For the G, most C/Os need to be modified with Evo parts to work. We'll see how things pan out.

I put Koni Yellows and Hypercoil springs on my car. Throw in the Energy Suspension bushing, RM Sway Bars, and the Star Specs and the car just sticks.

Here is yet another addition of mine I just got today. It's a 97' GSX that was fully built by AMS.
Stroker motor shep trans 1600cc injectors gt35r aem ems dnp mani/tial wastegate driveshaft shop axles and driveshaft suspension all aem gauges 3 1/2" turboback exhaust dual fuel pumps etcetcetc. I'll probably strip it monday, Throw a fresh stock engine/trans in it, And have it up and running by mid next week with basic bolt ons (none that's on the car now). Then it'll be listed forsale. ![]() exterior appears bone stock. The car has zero rust, And the body/paint are flawless.

The car runs great (Made almost 600whp on pump gas), I have all the paperwork/dyno sheets etc from ams.
As for why take it apart. When I actually sell these cars (rare anymore), I sell them with only minor bolt ons (exhaust/fmic/fuelpump/16g) I sell them for $6k usually before they are even finished. If I try to sell one built, It' would basically be impossible to sell being you need to find the right buyer for the car. I think it's more headach's then. This way, I can sell the car stock, And basically all the parts I then sell at 1/4 the cost, Making me a few dollars, And saving the parts buyers substantial amounts at the same time so then everyone is happy. I don't think I'd ever sell one fully built though, I enjoy taking them apart, And then putting them back together from nothing. This newest one has zero issues with it. I'd love to keep the car (Or any of these cars), But for me it would be really a waste being I have the babyseat in the car and usually have her with me at all times (Unless I'm driving to/from my garage during my garage hours every day). I'd love to get another one stock for an every day car but they're hard to find un-touched and I woulden't want to spend the time putting one together for myself. Right now I'm daily driving my skyline, But even that becomes an annoyance during every day travels'. I'm unable to list anything on here in the seller/buyer section being I won't pay for a vendor status thing, But I will make sure to make a huge list of the parts/cars I have forsale all the time, Then I can just pm anyone who is ever interseted in anything . I usually always have tons for these cars. |

Do I qualify for this thread? My car may say dodge but it's a mitsu at heart, literally, it has a 4g64 just like the eclipse and galant. All of my parts are from eclipses as well.

a dsm is 4g63 powered (unless u have a 2.4 swap).
if it says DSM DSM DSM on the body ur good lol. **** some dont even own em ATM but they still BS about our cars in here
