Right now I think they look fairly idiotic in the media but fully support most of their views and the inspiration for it all as posted below -

"The participants of the event are mainly protesting against social and economic inequality, corporate greed, and the influence of corporate money and lobbyists on government

My biggest concern is in Bold.

eh id just protest the tax loopholes for the top 1% not much tax percentages. their greed is spawned from competition. honestly if two companies are making the same product

company A. becomes a good guy taking tax increases, exploits less loop holes, hires more people, de nationalizes their workforce etc. etc. will see their product/s be sold at a higher price, stock holders will sell because their worth will be lower and a snowball effect would happen until they collapse.

company B. does all the same **** as before and continues to sell their stuff at a standard low price. In turn they end up taking over company A's sales and becomes more rich, more stockholder growth etc etc

basically there arent enough people with disposable income in the 99% that really cares enough to buy something, for more money, from a company who sells a product more ethically. this greed everyone speaks of spawns from competition not conspiracy stories. {{IMO}}

i do not, in the end, disagree with the protest though. Just doubt it will have any effect.

My biggest concern is in Bold.

they are an ignorant group of socialist ****s with a sense of entitlement. Basically they are saying "we want everything and we want YOU to pay for it, and since we arent getting what we want were going to sit on this sidewalk and stomp our feet until you give us what we want".

free college education?!? thats a ****ing terrible idea. An open border policy?!? are you ****ing kidding me! Even YOU can not agree with these tools... can you?

Yea, to a point I agree with you, they are a bunch of people who are clearly not choosing to work and bitching and moaning that they want the world handed to them on a silver platter. Here's an idea, go apply for jobs, go to interview's and make money and live your life like EVERYONE else is in this world. Do I agree that the top %1 shouldn't get $234 million bonuses on a quarterly basis, of course I do, that's just absurd, and it is part of the problem. But guess what, you sitting outside their office (where they can't hear you b/c they are 60 stories up) chanting isn't going to change anything.

Free College education, really? More Affordable college education I can agree with, but free? no, not happening.

Open Border Policy? fu*k no! If anything we should CLOSE the border's and guard them better with our military!

Also, I'm surprised this hasn't turned violent yet... if it were to, I'd say anyone with half a brain should just stay away and let these people who don't benefit society anyway, kill each other off. This world is too full of the failure's within the human race, lack of intelligence is killing off our specie's, sadly though, not quick enough.

I'm the one who'd sit out side and protest that we need complete extinction of the human race (however is the easiest method, probably nuclear explosions at the right size detonated precisely around the world) so we can start over from the beginning and do it right this time.

not going to quote the people before but i agree no free college education, but not @ the prices/inflation it is now. With the job market it is becoming a must to have a degree in something. Problem is the regular person (without a mommy and daddy with deep pockets) is walking out of college with an 80 thousand dollar loan. basically a mortgage. < this in turn snowballs the market, because with low credit approvals and 80k withstanding the typical person is moving out of their houses at a later age killing that market as well. so while i dont expect a free education i would be much happier with a withstanding loan that isnt such a hard sack tugger, and so would this country.

^ isnt even one of those well if you keep your grades up and get a good scholarship blah blah blah. i kept a 3.25 or higher gpa throughout my college career. my scholarship demanded a 3.0 (which is hard in its own right). so even with doing well my whole life in school and getting a job out of college deserving of my work, im still stuck in a ****ty situation, and that is something deservable of protest.

It's refreshing he is doing that, but on the flipside hypocritical for them to take his funds. I'm not a fan of their progressiveness and desire for a larger government.

maybe I read your post wrong but when you make a college degree attainable to everyone it becomes a highschool degree more or less (everyone has one)... sure you walked out with 80k in debt but if the education was subsdized by the govt the education would probably not only be total **** but every dip **** would have one. the reason american universities are so highly regarded around the world is because they do NOT rely on govt. to keep their lights on. Sure they get private donations and govt funding for research and such but thats it.

Didnt the govt. start subsidizing college with the GI bill many years ago? Then again in the 60s? and when they did the cost of tuition when through the ****ing roof. ****ing with free market never has good results

The GOVERNMENT gave COLLEGES money, and they didnt LOWER the price of education- THe GOVERNMENT gave STUDENTS MONEY and that increased the demand... then colleges RAISED the tuition (i mean ****, why not these kids all have money now!). So instead of borrowing $5,000 from your parents/aunt/uncle/etc. to go to college, youre borrowing $150,000 from Uncle Sam. In this situation the students absolutely do NOT win, the colleges and professors do, but they have already proven to be the biggest money hungry d-bag "corporations" of them all! Nobody in the WORLD has the kind of $ the College and University "Endowments" have.... Harvard has over 30bb all by itself. Yale is like 20bb... if you were to add all the thousands of colleges nationwide up the fact that these "corporations" (schools) have literally created the biggest economic superpower in the ****ing world.

If the government had never gotten involved, you would still be able to get a college education, that was worthwile, for a few thousand bucks, not the 80-1xx k you owe now.

im not saying attainable to anyone im saying attainable in relevance to starting salary and gross income past college. Financials shouldnt be holding people back from colleges it should be their brains, and i dont know what country your living in but a ba is basically a highschool diploma now a days and im still getting raped with student loans every month.
lol @ blaming the government again. this country became a service industry, that is what drove demand for schooling and raised inflation rates. im sure the government didnt help but jesus people if you hate the government so much as to blame them for every wrong go live somewhere else.

About their treatment and the police actions - it's absolutely sickening. It gets my blood boiling just thinking about it.

About their 'cause'? They're ignorant liberals who are whining because they want more for less. They want want want, but they don't understand how the real world works. They have no idea how stupid they sound because that's part of their disease. Have you seen their "unnoficial" list of demands? It's ridiculous. It's soooooo far out there that it's hard to wrap my brain around the fact that somewhere out there, there's actually someone who is delusional enough to believe that any of it makes sense.

The exception is the few who are actually there for a purpose that's grounded in reality...
