Solution for my lawn problems..

Im doing some hardscaping at my moms house as well as some landscaping and im running into a mind block. She has a front yard that is around 15yards X 15 yards. The grass will NOt grow. Ever since i was younger, its always been an issue. I would like to replace the grass and or cover it with something much nicer looking than the current moss/weeds/patches of grass. What are some good options for ground cover in large areas?

have you tried air-ating it. You can rent a machine from taylor rental for like 120 buck it puts holes/plugs in the soil. And then you just buy the types of seed you want and spread them. Its the right time of year to do this, I just did my lawn last week.

Never done that...bt I dont know. Our sand is sandy and our yard is shady. Grass is just a tough buy.

check the soil's acidity rate, that could prevent anything from growing.

If it's a mostly sun I would check out vica vines, they are intrusive. But if your looking for a lot of hearty ground cover, I think most will get intrusive.
