ok, i just did a google image search and they all looked the same, thats why i asked. i remember when i saw them at the a local camera shop, there was a bigger one and a smaller one. now actually looking into them, im guessing the small one was the glidecam 1000.

Lens Date Code if applicable: From Circa ~1967-1971

Lens Body Condition: Excellent! This is an EXCELLENT copy. You can find beat up ones all over the place but this is a premium unit. There is very very very minimal (if any real notable) finish wear on the focus ring. No scratches or bangs anywhere on the body.

Lens Glass Condition: Mint - no scratches on front or rear elements. No fungus. No notable dust. These lenses suffer from "yellowing" of the rear element over the now 30+ year life. This particular unit has very, very faint yellowing. There's a trick involving just exposing it to UV for a while that will eliminate it - I have not done this at all and the yellowing is very very faint. The glass itself is immaculate.

Lens Model: Carl Zeiss Jena Tessar 2.8/50 14-Blade with Aperture Preset feature

Lens Date Code if applicable: From Circa ~1952-1955

Lens Body Condition: Body is in good shape - its all aluminum and relatively clean. The filter threads show some damage but as you can see in the photos a filter threads on just fine. Some black paint scratches were sharpie'd over - you can barely tell any knicks or scratches in the filter area were ever there. Other than that, the body of the lens is in great condition especially for its age. Focus ring and aperture ring work perfectly.

The coolest thing about this lens is that the aperture ring is totally smooth - there are no clicking/notched aperture settings - completely variable and the aperture remains round at all apertures due to 14 blades.
