Do term life. I wasted my money a few years back on a cash life policy. I found that I could invest the difference in thte cheaper term life and be better off in the long run.

Your also young enough, and assuming healthy, to get a good rate on it.

do you see any problem with getting life insurance with the same company i use for home owners and car insurance? you know having my eggs all in one basket, that basket being liberty mutual.

When I get a referral from Liberty Mutual I cringe... their adjusters always give me headaches(workers comp and liability claims). Don't know anything about their policies compared to anyone else. I have to ask many times for info, when they do finally response, its only partial. When we bill them for our services they often times don't pay the bill. We actually dropped our contract with them and have to get special approvals just to accept their cases now.

I was with NY Life and was happy with my cash life years ago. Never really did anythign but pay the bill though so I don't really know of they are any better or not.

never had to deal with that side of the company yet. i guess my question really is, is it a faux pa to use one company for all your insurance needs?
Not sure if the plan they quoted me is a cash life or a term, I assume it's a cash life. But regardless, their quote combined with our car insurance was $300 less with life insurance for my wife and I. So basically I would save $300 (every 6 months) to add life insurance for my wife and I.

It's probally not good to do everything through 1 company, you just never know if they will be the next Enron... but at the same time it is very convenient. With the amount of bailouts and risks for a major company to crash... I would think the risks would be tiny. I'd do it all through 1 company if it saved me money.

I'm actually going to buy some stocks very soon since the market dropped like 300 points. Some quick easy money to be had.

Speaking of AIDS and death, it occurred to me the other day that the idea of property ownership is kind of funny. In the end your unappreciative kids will be selling that **** off anyway.

While that may be... I can't stand the thought of renting.
