i used to be able to taste the difference during the first 3 or 4 drinks. after that i could have been given anything and i would not have been able to taste the difference between good quality vodka or the super cheap stuff.

Top shelf & rotgut, yeah there's a difference. Anything middle of the road I can't really tell. But I drink cheap beer in dirty bars, what do I know?

i know there is a difference, just saying that after a 3-4 drinks i could not tell anymore. by that point i would throw back the next 3-4 like cold drink of water. it wouldn't stay in my mouth long enough to even taste it.
