Reduced Ticket... close call

So I had my license suspended january 8th for street racing, i had fiscal matters so i couldnt afford to take off from work, go to court blah blah blah. so i paid the ticket off without stating i was guilty or not guilty. obviously it got suspended as posted above with 5 points so i was at 9 points on PA license. the citation took place in philly. so penndot says 6 months for racing and 3 months for some other b.s.

so i contact a special lawyer and told em my situation. he filed an appeal, were going to court in the beginning of may, he said he WILL get it reduced, my license back and "time served." i cant say how much i paid him but its cheaper then you think. if you want his name p.m. me lol.

the only reason im getting it reduced is for insurance reasons. i could care less about not driving. just gives me more time to do modifications. plus the way gas is right now im happy haha, even though i get 34mpg hw :-P. that being said im done with running on the street. ****s old, ****s weak. this is more of a discussion. i just had to get that off my chest.

lawyers work great, i got charged for street racing and reckless driving. got street racing dropped, and reckless driving down to careless driving.

yea and i wasnt even racing, i was watching a ls1 with no 3rd gear take down a ms3. the cop said oh i seen you shooting flames. i tried to tell him i was just watching but yea thats pointless to argue with a police officer, just gotta take it in the ass n like it when dealing with them. he's doing his job though so im not hating on em

i think he told me he is trying to "sweep it under the rug" and just get rid of it all in all. i'll have results though the day OF court via android haha

well my ended up with an accident, cus of the other driver. But i think i made out good. So what happened to the guys that were racing?

ms3 got off literally at the very next exit as the officer put the red n blues on, the camaro got the same ticket as me. idk what happened to him. the cop also said i have you on radar at 91 mph (he put his lights on my decel around 115ish). i replied back oh did ya? i wasnt aware philly STREET cops were legally allowed to have radar equipment. in which they arent. i think only the highway patrol is only allowed VASCAR. not even radar gun or w.e. so that shut him up with a speeding ticket real quick. hence the only ticket i got was "Highway Racing" (it wasnt labeled street racing)

oh and another reason im getting it reduced is because i tried to apply for a workers permit license or something. i was denied because of the citation, so i dug deeper. apparently you can have dui's out the ass and still get one.

97 in a 65 was the last ticket i got. (wasnt me i sware it was a tan STI that flew past me , cop thought it was me when i didnt even break 80 w/e) and i got that reduced to a zero point ticket. 5 points to 0 points and 700 bucks

i don't think i have much luck because i was snagged for watching a race. it would be different if i was down 61st or holestein. i can see them taking my car down there for sure. i was up around woodhaven raceway

Does not make a difference where you were. The fact you still have your car is lucky.
Wifey has a friend who was just watching races down in S.Philly a few years back. He was with a few friends in his fathers new mazda protege5. They got cited and the car got seized.

Hopefully this is what those compassionate hippies would call "a teachable moment."
