The faster your car gets, the longer mine gets stuck in the shop! Stop going fast so my car can go fast too! ;)

Back from the dead!!!

Motor is in and tuned, but as stated has the weak rods, so I am stuck at about 290 whp, I am having it dynod soon.

My buddy just crashed his 04 with the same swap but he has the forged gm bottom end, I am picking that up and swapping it in.

But I am having a lot of maintenance issues now, hub bearing, electrical system, and tedius other things, so progress in performance is slow.

For those of you who care and are following my build I have quite a substantial update.

Wheels And Tires

17x9 +42 Rota Grids Hyperblack w/ Deevo Lugs and 235/45/17 Nitto Invos

New TTR Intake Manifold and 80mm LS1 TB

Got it on the dyno too. At timing retarded 6-8 degrees under boost and a failing Boost controller I managed 246 whp @ 6600 rpms and 236 tq @ 5500 rpms (new boost controller is coming friday and once the new bottom end is in(sometime around thanksgiving) I am going for 400)

Great build so far. From one domestic compact owner to another, I understand the pasion you feel towards your car. Building an Escort I get the same comments from others, but it's worth everything when you build your car the way you want it with your own hands. Keep up the awesome work.

Doesn't the "ghetto" big brake kit the n-bodies use bolt up to the J's as well? Impala SS 12" rotor w/ 4th gen f-bod dual piston calibers is what i'm running on my GA....

Awesome build man, whenever you want to molest my ecotec... let me know

Why the downgrade to the Patriot head? I thought that you already had an AMMfab ported head with the Supertech valvesprings...
