Nice pictures. I love the 2gb talon! I really want to do some autocross once I am convinced my car can handle it.

I have the same EVO 8 wheels on my car. I really like them. Unfortunately I only put 215s on them instead of 235s so they have alittle of that silly "vw stretched tire" thing going on... I thought the 235 would rub since the tires that came with the wheels rubbed. I found out later that i was not comparing apples to apples later. A 235 Comp R drag radial is still alot wider than a regular 235 all season. lol. The car looked bad ass with the Comp Rs but they clearly needed spacers. I was driving around feeling like a boss and I would come to a stop and smell rubber. Got out and felt a groove on the inside of the rear tire. Then I drove but clenched at 25mph over to NTB for some regular tires.

I have 245/40/17 Dunlop Direzza Z1 Star Specs on them. Great street and occasional track duty tire. I had no clearance issues at stock ride height. I'm going to need to roll the fenders when I put the new suspension on. There's no stretch with them tire on an 8" rim.

Thanks for sharing those pics, wish more guys were into AutoX'ing DSM's. Only one guy does/has in our local area. He had a champagne 1g that he used for a while and then finally "upgraded" to a 2ga talon. He's a pretty good and known driver at the events but (my opinion) the car is holding him back since its such a basic setup. Curious to see what he does at this years events.
Looks like i never uploaded any of his 1g runs, but here is a handful of clips of the 2g in action:

The fix was quick and cheap. Just needed a new crank position sensor and trigger plate. Oh, and my car has a bit over 247k miles on the body. I'm about to tack on another 800 miles TOMORROW.

Polo Green Pearl - G56/PGE

It's not Monarch Green Pearl - PGF
That's why those spots near the bottom corner of my doors and my front bumper are different colors. I hoped that PGF would be close... not quite. Too much blue.

drove the GSX today with my old GS-T's engine in it.

It has a Forge Recirc'd BOV in it, that thing sounds classy

so as you all may know ive been trying to sell my talon, i lost faith in it when the tranny problems started to get worse, i developed a decel vibration and now the turbo seals are on their way out, but recently after riding in a fast evo and being around some other quick cars and talking with friends ive decided it wouldnt be right to give up now, so ive made a list and started putting money away and the talon will go under the knife when school ends or i get my tax refund. ill possibly be doing a clutch in the next few weeks though and also i think my vibration is coming from a bad driveshaft support bearing (the one twards the middle of the car) so does anyone have an extra driveshaft with a good bearing that i can try? if it doesnt fix it ill give it back but ill gladly pay for it if it works

The clutch had less than 10 miles on it when I put it in the car. Unless you can't drive stick or have had some kind of mechanical problem causing wear, I highly doubt that's what it is.

Or beat up on the car without breaking in the clutch the correct way.

I have about 20 dsm clutches if you need to buy one cheap. Exedy, spec, act, stock, 6-puck, 4-puck, ETC.

I also have transmissions, ETC. Let me know if you ever need anything and are in a bind and you can come right down within an hour or so and get what ever it is that you need.

Does anyone need any n/a

taylor im not saying the clutch is the problem, but when you search online and find that you have to install extended slave rods and weld nuts onto pedals to get more adjustment and all that other stuff maybe that clutch isnt the best one to put in, besides at this point what is left to try? it has a new slave/master, new line, ive bled it like 5 times, you shimmed the fork ball, installed a new fork and ball, soo the only things left are that the flywheel or clutch or the install of both were/are bad. its not a transmission problem, because it happens in everygear, you can clearly tell the clutch wont release

Meh, thousands of people have run that set-up before without problems.

Past that, let's be honest with ourselves: it's a performance car from 1993 that was likely run hard and had a heavy clutch before I bought it, was run realitively hard with a heavy clutch to the point of 11s when I had it and it had 143K on it, and I know you run it hard. Plus your commute is pretty husky and is only going to put more strain on the parts, especially if you're grinding into gears or having trans issues or what have you. Parts are going to wear faster at this point. If you think it's the flywheel, pop the trans off. It'll take you a few hours, but it's realitively easy to do and then you'll have an answer to your problem.

yup i completely understand that, bbut luckily i was able to put a bandaid on it for now, yesterday me and a buddy at work messed with it all day, found 2 loose tranny bolts so the trans was pushing itself away from the engine instead of releasing the clutch, and i made a tiny extension to go in the slave to make the rod a little longer, now it releases completely and ill save up to do a new clutch maybe even a tranny build, but i have to replace the support bearings on the driveshaft now. i did the vfaq fix for them and filled them with silicone but i would prefer to replace them since they are old anyway

do you still have that dsmlink btw? and does anyone possibly have an alternator? i need one bad this ones bearins are shot and started to make alot of noise in the past 2 days

I have about 12+ alternators if you need one cheap. $25 picked up or $35 shipped.
