Who needs to talk on the phone anyways. With texting and social networks no one calls anyone anymore! lol I knew texting got out of hand when my mom learned how to text...now she rarely ever calls unless its too long to type lmao

I've never had a problem recieving texts while I was in a call. I have actually put my phone on speaker and had a conversation while I was having a conversation with someone else via text messages. I've been with Verizon for about four years and the ONLY complaint I have is about their prices and service fees, but I keep paying my bill every month because to me, having service in tunnels, elevators, basements, etc. is worth it. When I had my BlackBerry Storm I had problem after problem and went through about 4 of them in 8 months. Never had to pay a deductable or anything. They replaced the phone for free, I had to wait, at MOST three days, but if I went into the store I got a new one on the spot and they transferred everything for me.

I have been early-upgrading my phones every year, almost to the day, for a $20 fee and I've been thinking about the Droid X. Now, I'm somewhat considering th iPhone, but not if it doesn't offer the multi-tasking option.

I send and receive texts with people on speaker constantly. its def great.

also, i'll find it funny when verizon people are complaining about their service when everyone jumps to verizon, causing more cellphone traffic. theres a reason verizon service is good, their networks arent being pushed.

This. I've NEVER dropped a call with Verizon. My parents have Sprint. They drop calls often and my mom has even complained about not getting my text messages.

since verizon wireless uses CDMA, they announced that the Iphone will not be able to make a phone call and surf the web at the same time. CDMA does not have that capability.

my dad has sprint. he's ALWAYS bitching about his phone lol.

now that I think about it, I cant think of one of my closer friends that I talk to consistently that has verizon. lol. they all have at&t.

but thats part of the reason the network "blows/sucks/whatever"... because of the volumn of traffic on the network. verizon users will experience the same thing. im predicting it.

Thank you lol. I already posted this more than once, but everyone is stuck on the text message thing, which I already corrected myself in saying that the texting might still work, but anything data related that would require a "data package" is not going to work while on a call.

My point is that because of the limited nature of CDMA, IMHO it defeats the purpose somewhat of having an iPhone. One of the biggest things with these newer phones is the ability to multitask. That multitasking capability is severely hindered because of VZ's network. Again, that's my opinion.

They Pushed Multi-tasking with this phone down our throats and that one cant do it? sucks to be verizon.

Wait so do droids do it? If not then who really cares?

I'm already on verizon and my dad runs his business through his cellphone basically. We get discounts on everything since we spend so much money there.

Rev.A doesn't. They will never upgrade their 3G network to Rev.B, though.
