Logo Feedback

I like the Christmas Theme. It really adds to the banner. We should try and have something like this every season, and than touch up the off-season (regular) banner with something else.

But this looks sweet and really adds something.

I like it a lot, shows that the forum is vested in its members, and for the off season when there is no holidays we could theme it up with like different race banners for whats going on like Lemans or something, but ya it looks good!

Thanks for taking notice, guys! Alot of the things that the Staff does to keep the forum running at 100% at all times goes on behind the scenes, but we've been trying to formulate some tweaks here and there that are a little more visually noticeable as well; sprucing up the banner is one of them.

We're always willing to try some new things, and will always be open to suggestions, so feel free to keep them coming! Delayed, if you wanted to photoshop an image of what you were thinking, or post some examples, that would be awesome.

definitely makes it feel a little more festive! it was nice to see when i refreshed the page this morning!

i feel like changing the logo as often as Google updates their main page would be overkill (and a pain for the person updating the image) but it wouldn't be too bad to update the site logo for major, major holidays or big calendar events.

that brings a lot of questions with it though: what holidays are major that would be celebrated by everyone? what would be too many updates for 1 year? what other cultural holidays would you incorporate (if any) that aren't celebrated by the "average American"? with all that being said - I don't know if it'd really be worth it, unless someone doesn't mind thinking through it all.

This is a valid point, and one we're toying with. The lights, though called Christmas lights, are still realtively seasonal and non-denominational enough and that's why they seem to be working so well I think.

The Google referene was a good one, and while we don't forsee tweaking the banner that often, you guys will have to wait to see what we have up our collective e-sleeves until then.

Thanks for all the feedback; all of it is always appreciated.

lol i thought about this too!

No problem, Taylor! I wasn't at all trying to say anything against what you have going now! the lights are good for the winter. snowflakes or something snow related seem tricky since the background up there is white.

definitely interested to see what's new to come!

Here's a quick one I did with the hat, I made the hat real simple only cause I don't want to overdetail it and take away from the actual banner, haha.

Is there a way to get a clean version of the banner I want to do a couple of the race ones I am thinking about doing

don't use the drop shadow on the hat. Looks not blended right when adding that.

if i had the original file i'd whip something up. Change the colors of the letters to red and green and/or make the Piston an Ornament or a letter substituted as a tree.
