Machine Shops in Central Jersey?
Do you know of any reputable places in central Jersey where I could have my cylinder heads resurfaced and my engine block decked? I live by Princeton so any where within 45 minutes from there is cool. |

I have heard some bad things about turbotrix decking/surfacing heads.. What about HeadGames? They are in Trenton and that's pretty much what they do..

I've never had anything done by them but I've heard a lot of good things about them.. When I needed machine work done I went to this website and searched for all the local places then called them for prices.. http://www.crankshaftco.com/engine-repair-directory
I ended up getting my cylinder head resurfaced for $55 and the block surfaced for $65.. The prices ranged from that to around $80 for the cylinder head alone depending on the shop.. Since you have a V6 I assume, it will probably be a bit more.. |

approximately how much did they charge? most shops ask for like 6o bucks a head and almost 100 for the block. both headworks and turbotrix havent sent me estimated quotes yet -_- also, is it necessary to completely part out the engine before a resurface? is it because u dont want any debris around moving parts or channels?
