Thanks!! In person it shines so bright it hurts your eyes. I've been wanting to get some shots of his car for weeks and weeks. Not having autofocus is really killlling me too. Hopefully sometime soon I'll be able to shoot his friend with a new white Zr-1 and Cts-V coupe..

Just developed the first roll of B&W shot from my new to me Canon AE-1. Half the shots came out crap. The rest were meh, but 6 came out well. Haven't shot anything in almost 5 years. Feels good to be back. Here's one I liked.

great comp. wish it was a level
a bit more contrast wouldnt hurt.
bring out some highlights and what not when playing with the levels, and then maybe the white of the bag wouldnt stand out as much.

idk im weird with b&w pictures. i can never decide what looks good and what doesnt

i'd say get rid of the color on the bag. draws away from the fact there's a man sleeping in the street. the bag should come second and tell you " only in nyc."
more contrast too. but i like the shot overall

i agree. i think selective coloring is pretty tacky 90% of the time

Selective coloring can bring some quality to a really boring picture, but that one is too interesting in itself to need anything added. I think the color takes away from the story the shot is telling. And yes I agree most of the time it looks tacky.
