Life isn't fair. The older you get the more you realize it and learn to pick your battles/complaints better. You can always drop out and become the assistant manager at Wal-Mart.

It does suck to go to class for that but in the end you don't have a say in it so pass the class and never see him again!

I hate that. Professors think that reading to me = teaching. NO. I'm MORE than capable of reading on my own, I dont need to pay 40k a year to have someone do it for me. TEACH ME, dont read to me!

Drives me friggin looney tunes.

This is college, dude. Nobody is going to hold your hand or tell you what to do. You chose to take the class, and he does whatever he feels like doing to teach the class. That's what he was hired to do. It sucks, I know, but the quicker you get over it, the better off you're going to be.

Jim, we're practically neighbors.

I remember those experiences but yeah just go along with it. If you have to go at your own pace in catching up. I screwed up in school and took the easy way out with major and now I regret it. Yes I have a pretty good job that has room to grow, but I kind of regret not going down the path of accounting where I started at. Might go back one day for it.

thats the difference between HS and college. College the professors don't care if you learn or not, you signed up for the class, so you should have the drive to learn what is being taught. You should want to learn and read the books assigned to the class. the lectures are supposed to inspire you to read and learn. All mos of the professors do is point you in the right direction for you to learn what you need to, and be there to answer your questions. you don't want to learn then so be it. they could care less.

like other have said, just grin and bear it, life isn't going to be any different so better to learn it now.

Does anyone have an easy method on how to remove intersection signs (the ones INSIDE a neighborhood, say like Main Street + Broad Street)?

Like this...

...also anyone want to help me get a few?

Awsome way to start the day... woman rear ended me on 422. It was bumper the bumper the whole time and I guess she wasn't paying attention. Hit me at 5-10MPH. Not much damage that I could see.

She tried to tell me it was my fault and I was drifting backwards.... but this was at the RT 29 exit that is DOWN HILL. Then she tried saying there wasn't any damage so we didn't need to swap insurance. I was like no, I want your info and she then gave it to me.

Gonna submit the claim today online and go home tonight and put the car in the garage to take a look at it in the dry and good lighting.

My guess is $1000 in parts and maybe $200 in labor but I'll do the labor myself.

easiest way would be a cordless sawzall. spray wd40 on the blade as you're cutting so it doesnt squeal a lot.

Well Im in the same boat as you guys about today. Dented the CRAP out of one of my wheels on the way home from work last night by hitting a peice of asphalt in the road the size of a grapefruit. Pulled over, tire was at 10psi. Filled it back up and drove it home.. ridiculously unbalanced. Took the wheel off, hammered the dent in as much as i could, but it still shakes over 45mph. Found out this morning my wheels are discontinued.

The worst part is- I had a feeling the 225/40's werent protecting my wheels enough, so I JUST bought 235/40's to put on. Not even a day later I demolish my wheel, before getting the new tires put on. ARGGHHH!

Well yes, the book is assigned. I don't see how it is a fair game when the professor doesn't even attend the class. He sits in his office and we connect to him using Adobe Connect. He lectures for 2 hours off of the power point which he got from the books author and just reads it to us.
lol your going to be an engineer right? all this will be the LEAST of your problems...

oh and a good portion of answers might be wrong in the back... because you know.. grad students did it lol.
also I hope your not relying on that... there is no answer book in real life. good luck .

p.s. Im in the same boat <---- engineering student.

I had a lecture hall stype programming class at Penn State... then we would go to a computer lab and do work. It was the longer 3 hours ever and I love programming.
