wensday and thursdays are killing me though. work 8 hours, go to class for 6, then home. At least i can enjoy 3 day weekends every weekend.

I think id prefer that. Well, 14 hour days are a bit much. But I'd be down to work four 10 hour shifts a week. I get paid salary, and can get my job done in 32-35 hrs a week, but I still have to be here 8-4 every day. Which defeats the purpose of being salary, to me. Salary means youre paid to get the job done regardless of how many hours it takes. If it takes more than 40, you get paid the same. If it takes less than 40, you get paid the same. So if im getting my job done ahead of schedule, why do I have to sit here for another 3 hours with my thumb up my ass? Because my boss is a retard, thats why. And I was supposed to be getting my buddy a job here- the person who would be his immediate boss was all set to hire him, and hes the most qualified of over 200 applicants. But they wont hire him because he got a dui 5 years ago. Theyre passing up a PERFECT employee to hire someone less qualified.. over a f*cking dui. Arggh stupid human resources.

Totally just went off on a rant there, sorry about that. But yeah, three day weekends. If I had that every weekend Id do some serious travelling.

yeah, i work by the hour. Though, when i get hired full time, I'm going on whats called a "rotating day off" setup. Meaning, mon-thurs, i work from 7am-4:30pm. Then on every other friday, either i work 7am-3:30pm or o i have the day off. But, as of nowm i'm just work the 7am-3:30pm shift.

and for the hiring part, it sucks here too. I work at a army depot, and, they try to hire mainly vets (like me), which is cool. But, their hiring system is all screwed up. We use a system call Resumix (or something like that), which takes "keywords" from your resume, and use that to determine if your qualified. So, in theory, you could know nothing about the job, but have an idea of how many keywords and what they are they want, and tada! Your hired. :facepalm
