Question About Ebay

the guy with my car bid the reserve price, so he is obligated by ebay to buy the car correct or not? Because he wants to pick the car up tomorrow but my moms out of town and she has to sign the title since its in her name, so hes talking like if we cant do it this weekend he doesnt want the car. But he is obligated correct?

my point is that its technically not your car(otherwise your mom wouldnt have to sign it over) and he is trying to get it from you.

in other words.. i doubt ebay is going to hold him responsible for your difficulties in making the car available.

i guess the best thing to do to be sure is email ebay and get an answer right from them

Correct you are both obligated to sell and buy. However eBay will take his side for you making it difficult to pick up said car. When you sell something on eBay you must be able to reliquish ownership of the property immediatly no if ands or buts about it. Trust me I've gone threw this already. Here is the possible way of stalling(I just did this haha) or stil transfering, is he getting a loan or is he paying you in cash? I just had to get a loan and the title was signed by the owners son. However since they only needed to SEE the title I gave it to them with the sons named crossed off and the fathers signature above it. The bank sent it to a place around here called JJs auto tags. When I go in to register the car on Monday they are going to fill out a form for "Signed in Error" or something like that. This way I can still have the title sent away to harrisburg and the bank can put a lien against the car. Gave me I'd say about a week. What you can do if he is doing cash is just forge ur moms name and or sign the title give it to him. When he goes to have it transfered They'll have to fill out a "Signed in Error" form and it should be ok. If not this still gives your mom some time to come back while he holds the title.

Eh if you knew the car was going to be sold why not just get your mom to sign the title before she left? Maybe you could just give him a bill of sell and get the title work down the day she get's back.

Just give him the car, and give him the title when your mom gets back. Wouldn't that work?
