Amount of cars youre allowed to sell per year in New Jersey

Does anyone know the limit of cars you're allowed to sell per year before you have to get a dealers license?

Six sounds right to me too.

Just have the PO sign the title, and dont transfer it into your name. Just put it right into the new owners name.

i thought it was illegal to have a floating title and sell the car as a "ghost" avoiding all taxes and fees. dont you have to have the car/title in your name before you can legally sell it?

at least thats how i did it before...

I know a guy that "Ghosts" titles all the time, and he probably moves about 15-20 cars a year, though he doesn't re-sell them all.

Technically, I believe it is illegal but it's extremely difficult to prove.

^^What he said.

Its even easier if the car you bought came from a different state. No notary needed, just have em sign the title over, and off you go. No sense in paying taxes and fee's twice- the govt already has their hands deep enough into my pocket.

Its like lying about what you paid for the car to pay less taxes... Everyone does it, its impossible to prove or prosecute.
