They think it's possible to fix without doing that, I think it's retarded, but it's not my say there. So with that said, they said that may change, and if it does, then things will need to be seriously reconsidered because the work triples at that point and the parts jump another 3k at least. It's no where near totaled at their current estimate, however, I will be calling the insurance company tomorrow morning and seeing what my options are.

Also with the apparent case of the tree being a major complaint and needed to be brought down before this happened and wasnt done, I'll have some argument there in at least getting loss of value and maybe even the property owner to cover it through their insurance. I've already started talking to other body shops about this type of damage. I'm not letting this just be a fix and give back, cause if it is, I will drive it straight to a dealer and trade it on a GT-R or something /sarcasm, but srs at the same time.
I always thought of you as more of a Lambo kinda guy

That does suck though, def talk to a few other shops and ask if they would even attempt to fix it that way.

ask them if they have even bent a paperclip and then bent it again....

are the going to reinforce that ****?

I love how people join a foum just to ask a question that they are too lazy to just search for. I'm fairly certain this has been discussed in that section withing the last few months. http://www.tristatetuners.com/forum/...93#post1763493

People should be allowed to post in ask the law until 50 legait posts or a 3 months. All these BS threads makes it a PITA for me to fish though when I actually need info on stuff and can't use search because 10,000 BS threads come up.

Nick, it sounds like you have quite the mess on your hands with the car. If the tree was told that it would need to be taken down, then it would be on the owners of the land it sits on. The way the tree guys were telling us about our house is that one tree got hit and some big pieces came off, and if we didn't do anything to take it down, if it fell on the house, then insurance wouldn't be liable for it because the tree needed to be addressed.

And Happy B-day Ang, any exciting plans?

Thats crazy man. I've never had any issues with a jack, but jackstands did leave a mark before. Now I always put a small peice of playwood under the stands.

Sucks so much that it was recently done.

Yeah you definitely can't use a jack or stands on asphalt. Bad bad idea. Luckily I only left dents in rental property. I used to do it on old streets all the time it would never leave a mark but anything like a residential driveway or newer pavement is a lot softer.
