I played years ago grant - Had an Eris interdictor at one point when I would do gank runs with some people. My tech was higher but I was poor since all I did was play for fun...

It only gets fun if you have the patience to play it for like a year.

Basically, there is a political structure in this game that you want to get into... but in the end its an ePeen contest. If you have a ton of friends online then you can go around and kill ****, but the pace is never really fast...
