My 2g gsx rebuild

Hey everyone my name is Chaz...just started learning how to use this site..Figured i'd post up my rebuild on my 1997 eclipse gsx..I bought the car two years ago, it being my first turbo car...The car was modded with the following: stock motor, stock trans, Act 2600 kit,full suspension,e316g, hks exhaust, supra smic, intake, SAFC, and other little things...Slightly after owning it and getting used to driving the car, I added some more mods..The mods were Fp coated manifold, full hks turbo back exhaust, Aem wideband, tial 38mm wastegate, and V3. Car ran pretty good for awhile.. I had it tuned from my buddy Nick(pretty well known) and i made 313awhp at 22psi...which didnt seem to bad to me considering i could have thrown some more boost to it with a bit more mods..http://www.youtube.com/user/talontsi.../3/-49C46v5CEs
Above is a few links to my dyno video and friends cars...So a couple months after the dyno the car popped a head gasket and caused some more damaged then usual so now im in the process of building a 2.0 1g 7 bolt...

1000cc injectors

This is basically the setup i will be doing..As of now the motor is still at the machine shop waiting to be machined up and all...I plan to have the car running for the summer but time will tell...In the mean time i will be doing work on the engine bay such as some wiring that needs to be cleaned up, non abs conversion, and a nice engine bay repaint...Ill try to get photos up as i progress on the work and get things to be where i want them to be....

Car definetley had more in it especially with the fmic addition after the dyno, but whatever you will be back with a lot more power soon.

Nice setup, car looks clean. I have very similar mods on my eclipse (mine being a gs-t) and it runs to perfection. Keep up the good work.

haha thanks guys...yea im just in a bit of a financial hold up...one work gets steady ill start getting the car together...id like to actually have the car running this summer.i cant deal not having it running for another summer LOL..this weekend im gonna start stripping the engine bay so ill upload some more photos..

You should paint the roof and the hood black, the black top seems to go well with that color...

i originally had a black hatch on it but decided to get rid of it...i was stuck on the two tone look for a while but just kept having second thoughts...itd be sick to have a carbon fiber hatch and hood, and possibly carbon fiber roof but thatll cost big bills lol...im keeping it a whole one color for now and after the motor build or maybe during it im gettng the stock gsx wheels powdercoated..im still undecided on that color thinking maybe a black chrome, gloss gunmetal, or jet black

thanks.....i still have alotttt of work to do but when its done i should be making some good power...i like the whole experience of doing this build because i have learned alot in the last two years...itll be nice to build something and achieve my goals...i gotta thank alot of people who have helped me out when needed...and josh get that dang thing done and make some power outta the whipgame

new update....im bailing on the motor build...nothing seems to go right so im buying my buddies 2.3 stroker motor and should be ready to rock by mid june...

so ive been getting my gsx ready for when i drop the new motor in...should be getting the 2.3 stroker in a couple weeks...my engine bay was dookie looking with paint scuffed and just messy....so i stripped the engine bay best i could and decided to just spray it with duplicolor spray cans...i think it turned out pretty good looking.....im cleaning up the bay and elminated a bunch of stuff to clean the bay up some more....heres some pics of the engine bay before , primed and newly painted..
