srt-4, at least the neon, came with two resonators and no mufflers and apparently came in just below the legal factory noise limit

I think he is right, it was only resinators on the SRT4's.. but don't quote me because I'm not an expert but I dod remember reading that somewhere.

SRT-4's do not have mufflers, my gf's dad is a tech at a dodge dealership and we had that discussion on Easter lol

Thanks for setting the record straight,thats pretty neat didnt know that. So basically 3 resonators made it low enough to pass dB lvls,sweet.

I'm not following. If your car is tuned the way it should be, it should most likely pass emissions as your engine would be runnign effecient. It isn't like you are going to re-tune just for inspection time.

My GTO would hooked to a sniffer, I got the printout. With a cam and being catless I passed within the legal limits. Granted if I didn't know the guy I would of failed the visual part, but still I think the tune is the most important thing in a car.

Maybe,maybe not,because really itd still create turbulence in the cat.

im on a stock ecu with no tune options. My car goes turbo>downpipe>muffler. theres not even 2 feet of pipe in the system. There is no way i will pass with no cat legitimatly, its been tried and tried by others. On top of that, even if i wanted to add a high flow cat, theres no space lol.

regardless, jim pm me or something. I'd like to talk it out with you once im off work.
