Clear wireless vs Comcast Cable

So, i'm looking for any excuse to ditch comcast entirely. I don't watch much tv... and am fully capable of watching shows on hulu.com and other online sources.

I'm trying to find some clear (no pun intended) comparisons between comcast cable and clear. as an IT professional i need something strong and reliable for working on websites.

anyone have any input on this?

I recently dropped comcast for clear and couldnt be happier. My main complaint with comcast was unreliable service, and a confusing billing cycle. Clear's billing is straightforward and "clear," and their service thus far has been exceptional.

I have a friend who works for clear, and can get you a good deal on rates (as well as Direct TV if thats something youd be interested in). Im sure he'd love to set up your account. I believe hes a member on here, I can have him PM you if you want.

Im not a gamer, but both of my roommates play XBL and say its much faster than comcast. I have just the home router and a rented wireless card for one of our PC's. I think the thumb drive (the thing you can use anywhere) is another $40 or something.

My buddy is gonna post up the specifics of pricing and whatnot.

My main issue with comcast is that my bill is never right. Before i signed up with clear my bill (cable and internet) was $101 a month. I dropped my internet so i could go with clear, and my bill for this months comcast just came in at $114. For JUST TV!

I feel like I spend more time on the phone arguing with comcast than I do actually using their services.

yeah, i pay around 120 a month for comcast cable and internet. i want to drop both...

so you've got multiple people using the clear wireless on xbl and they're fine? thats pretty awesome...

i was told it's $55 for both the go anywhere wireless thumb and the home router. i'm really tempted to pick that stuff up and tell comcast to go shove it up their ass...

Ah I see, I do repair for them so I'm not very much help when it comes to billing issues.. 114 is a lot for just cable.. theres a double play available for 79.98.. you get cable tv and internet.. cable tv includes the classic tier and hbo i believe

yes because i sold ken his clear account...420sx.....i've been with them since october....and to be honest with you comcast isn't bad in terms of their product....but their customer service, overpricing, and questionable billing issues are what make them suck....

and yes xbl is fine with clear home modem...if you have any real questions...i can give you honest opinions about both products because i used to have comcast and now use/sell clear....pm me or text me 304-276-2767

you can run up to 8 computers off of one modem simultaneously without any lag issues with xbl

i gotta see what comcast is for just internet. gonna call them and see about cancelling the tv b/c i really don't watch too much... and everything i want to see is available online

you're talking about keith...he wanted me to come work with him as assistant manager haha...you would be spending 64.99 a month after the pricing you said...what i can do is set you up with an internet 6 month promo which would drop that by about 10-15 a month for 6 months.....a lot of sales guys don't like to introduce that fact because it kills our commission but i'm out to save people money no matter what. like i said pm me or call 304-276-2767 i live right in plymouth meeting

go with dish over direct...i sell them both and dish is definitely the better deal....and better customer service....direct is shady like comcast in terms of customer service and pricing...it's also a lot more expensive. i have multiple packages so feel free to contact me and we'll come up with something that is ideal for your wallet

2 year contract if you pass the light credit check...nothing major..just a check to see if you pay your utilities/minor bills like cellphone. it takes me about 4 minutes to do it.

nevermind haha

i cancelled my cable tv and threatened to cancel internet to for clear and they gave me a new one year contract for just the internet at $19.99/month for 6 months and it goes up to $57/month after that. and i'll just threaten to cancel again.

i will be in touch regarding the dish network though when i move!
