After 2 years of interviews, tests and internships I finally got the call yesterday that I'm being offered a position with the police department. It's been extremely stressful. All the stupid things I did when I was young were coming back to haunt me and I honestly thought it would never happen. Now I need to get my house sold to meet residency requirements. This may mean that I'll have to sell the Type R unless I can find a house in the city with a garage. Bittersweet I guess lol.

I'd probably ask $19k for it. It's got 19k miles, numbers matching, clean title, no paintwork. It's one of the cleanest R's out there. And I'm working in Wilmington (city).

Another option is to store it...unless you drive it a lot (which it doesn't seem like it based on the mileage).

You should enjoy it. I'm an MP and I like it. I might try for State Trooper though when I get out because by then I'll have about 5 years experience.

Good luck with it. I honestly didn't have any interest in the state or county police. I have family in state but Wilmington is a truely urban policing environment, much like Philly.

congrats on the new job. you'll never get 19k for it. if that it is what you're expecting to get then just keep it so you won't be disappointed.

Why do you say that? There are several people that have paid that on Hondatech for cars with more miles. I've seen R's with 80k-90k miles sell for $15k+ with clean titles. You will not find one more perfect then mine. Regardless, this isn't a for sale thread.
