im looking for jobs in chicago again. the market is rough for someone like me. all these companies want a ton of experience with **** out of my range. i dunno where to look.

Jon just keep looking. Going to be hard to find connections al the way out in Chicago unless you know some people. Ford will be hiring 1200 people in a plant in Chicago for the Explorers they are going to make this year. Maybe look into that, even though it might not be your thing?

im sure theres something out there jon. just gotta dig deep these days.

anyway. happy fat tuesday i guess lol. doesnt really make a difference to me. not much to report. still feeling not 100% today but with my appetite bacl last night things are better. just have to figure out why i wake up and my eyes hurt. its like theyre strained but i was sleeping? lol oh well. once i got up and drove to work im fine now but its lame waking up 2 hours before youre supposed to and gettoing crappy sleep till the alarm goes off.

I blame Oakes for that. He comes to me with the puppy dog eyes and tells me in sign language how dangerous it is to have a car like his in the bad weather. Then asks if my car is justing in the garage. Before i know it i am giving him the car keys nearly crying telling him please be safe i dont want you getting hurt driving that crash prone Fusion. Actually he is doing me a favor. He has the car parked near him so i can use my garage to park the daily driver. With all the snow lately parking in my neighborhood is a mess. Having use of the garage to park in stead of storage gives me a chance to get out and not worry about parking when i get home.

Jon have you considered floating your resume to an IT headhunter in the Chicago area? I have found headhunters useful for finding jobs. It seems that only entry level and super high level jobs posted to job sites and classified adds. Most of the in the middle jobs are given to headhunters so they can do the first level of screening verus the HR person in a company doing it.

morning everyone. today is going to be insane, i can tell already.

Southwest airlines expansion of terminal E is supposed to open at 10am today, and we dont have any flight information for the new gates. waiting for the **** to roll. they're going to have all these new displays and new gates, but no info to them. LOL

how would i go about finding a head hunter?
