Yeah.. i am sticking with my 5D classic for now.
Although, I daily notice features that I miss. The other day I didn't have my wired trigger and I was shooting random stuffs on a tripod. 1. Mark II works with the cheap-o $20 wireless 2. The Mark II has a 10-second and 2 second timer, it's annoying having to wait for the time to click down 10 seconds for every shot... ..especially when you're trying to shoot a helicopter.

Apparently the mirror flipping out of the way of the sensor causes the camera to move ever so slightly. Mirror lockup just locks the mirror in the "up" position and locks it there to avoid it flipping up and possibly shaking the camera.
If I remember correctly, first button press flips the mirror up (rather then taking the shot and flipping the mirror at the same time) and the second button press takes the picture. |

yea thats all it does pretty much, just helps reduce the camera shake when its on a tripod. khellen is right..first press of the shutter button flips it up and then the second time u press the shutter button or remote/trigger it'll start the exposure. and if you enable mirror lockup from the custom function menu and have it on the timer mode it should if i remember turn it into a 2 sec timer. play around with it and see if it works

I have a 1D MKII that I barely use since the 5D MKI & MKII get most of the work. Shoot me a PM if interested.

Ugh. With the tax return that was just deposited in the bank. I'm having dreams of the cash in the shape of a 5dmkII now. I want one so bad.
If someone would buy my D60, Kit lens, 50/1.8, Sigma 50-150/2.8, Tokina 12-24/4. I think it would help me move in the mkII direction. I'm very jealous of all you out there.
