yea it looks like a good simple starter kit, and glass seems much better than those cheese plastic brown barrels or the 5 gallon spackle bucket.

I have the ford racing c springs. I'd like to get the back end to sit a little lower then it does now. I know some guys will cut a half a coil out of the springs but IDK about that.

once you get the water to temp you pour it over cracked barley in, usually, a cooler. since its insulated it'll hold temp longer. the temp will come down like 10 degrees and you hold it there for half an hour i believe. this converts the starch in the barley to sugar for the yeast to use.

next you boil the liquid in the cooler for a bit to sterilize the liquid and add hops at the right times. then you've got to drop the temp suddenly for the cold break.

add to a fermenter, pitch yeast and wait

thats it in a nut shell from someone who has assisted with all-grain brewing, but not done it. I don't want to deal with 15lbs of spent grain on the 8th floor...
ok cool, thanks for the basic run down. that doesn't seem to painful

it really isn't and it takes as much time as extract brewing. you're just left with more to dispose of

Well I was talking to a guy with a cobra at the one meet, and he said at the bottom of the spring they are double stacked, like two coils...and thats what he cut. It looked really good on his car

heres a question, on those instructions, it says let it ferment for 2 weeks, then after bottling it says let it sit for 2-3 weeks, should i assume thats the consumption period or is that a needed step before consumption?
