What makes you think 18's will work any better for working especially on street tires haha? I'm trying to put mine in 12's with just converter and gears. Been 14.0s plenty of times.

Well the rims I put on, I like a lot..and they only make them in 18's so I was kinda stuck...and was sick of the bullitt rims so I went with these. I'd like to get another set of 17s for at the track, but money gets in the way of that.

What gears do you have?

Why don't you just find a set of used 15" welds or somethin and get some DR's or slicks just for the track? It would cut your times down quite a bit.

Have stock gears. Going to get 4.10s very shortly. Converter I don't think I'd go cheap on either. Might do like 3200 stall.

Agreed. That's what I was planning on doing until I just got an extra set of stock wheels. Just going to throw Nitto DR's on two of them.

True..but I've also considered getting rid of the 18s in general and just going with everyday 17s. It kinda all comes down to money currently...but I think I'm going to do everything (within reason) this year to get an 11 second pass with my current setup. Even if its 11.99, idc...i just want 11 lol

I've got 3.73s...Id like to get 4.10s but I'm afraid it'll be too much because I travel the highway a lot during the summer. Automatic ftw at the track...i have 5 speed. Sometimes I'd like automatic for my car...but I just love 5 speed to much..

ok cool. that looks like a good little kit. i was worried by mix you meant one of those canned mixes that come mixed with hops in it... those suck.

looks like you're doing a small all-grain batch. not something i've done by myself. its pretty easy though. just make sure you follow directions and pay attention to temperature. all the science happens at specific temps, too hot and there isn't enough conversion of the starches to sugars, too much and something else bad happens but i can't remember what exactly

Yeah Celica for a lot of highway driving I wouldn't recommend 4.10s, but that's just me. 4.10s on N/A and autos work so well. Although I'd probably have to switch out my lowering springs which I don't want to do. We will see how the traction part plays out.
