Thanks everyone... the exhaust housing is actually already coated flat black... Bonehead did that for me last year. Over time it looks just meh really but hopefully it functions the same. I also coated my manifold and downpipe the same way last year.

Frankford Plating polished everything, but they also do chrome. I talked with them about pros and cons of both and because I was insistent on not having any chrome get on any machined surfaces or inside my parts, I decided to play it safe and polish it all. I'll need to keep up with it to keep it looking good but I'm thinking I'll be happy with it, and hopefully I am. I'll post a review of them once I get the other few things finished by them, and it looks like they might be becoming a vendor on here as well. So far they have definitely taken care of me though so I'm happy so far.

And yeah, velocity stack is powdercoated. I'm not sure how I feel about it to be honest, but we'll see once the bay is back together completely.

Crappy cell phone pics... car is starting to come back together, which is good news, because I have a deadline of being able to drive it to Shades Of Gray to be retinted by Friday. That means I have Weds and Thurs to get it 100% roadworthy. Ugh... working on a time limit has been so stressful the past couple weeks.

But yeah... the Supra is Philly Auto Show bound... thats why I got a move on with some of this stuff now... it will be on display in the Shades Of Gray Tint booth alongside ___________ and __________... wait, did they want that to be public info? I'll wait for the ok there I guess. But come check us out!

Need to get it back on the road with all my mod cleanup stuff finished, get it tinted asap, and get a serious detail so its looking best. Its tough to be a street car among show cars, I'm already feeling pretty self-conscious about it.

Well... here are a few pics...

fastest way to make rust go away is to paint over it, lol. probably wont last but i hit this stuff up with some high temp black cause it was rusty and looked like hell.






got the exhaust side and center section installed with oil drain and feed. they weren't any easier to do this time, it took a while to get everything lined up properly, and again i have 1/4" between the manifold, oil drain, and compressor housing. also put the exhaust back on. compressor housing and velocity stack were just mocked up to confirm fitment but will hopefully be on for real in the next couple days.






New front swaybar bushings installed... will be doing the rears when I have time. Old bushings are beat to hell.

Now that I've spent some time with it in a more critical 'show car' way... it needs a lot of cleaning up to be spotless. Aside from the paint, I'd actually like to powerwash the crossmember and engine mounts, etc. If I run the velocity stack then you can see that stuff pretty easily below it, and its uugggly .

Yeah (edit: my bling blang car show counterpart) said he was dropping off on Sunday and planning to pick his up on Weds night... so I'm not sure how I fit into that schedule, haha. We need to roll in Friday, not exactly sure when but I wouldn't plan on using much of that day for detailing.

dude you have no idea, your bay looks like its fresh off the showroom floor compared to mine. I have a LOT of work to do the rest of the week before it's even ready to be cleaned up by Nick. I wish I could just pull the motor and paint the bay, like tomorrow lol

Well, both cars can be here at the same time, and there is two of us working on them so it should be a little easier to work with. If you want to bring yours up after tint, if thats even possible, that works too. It's going to be a busy two weeks for all of us haha
