I got a GOOD ONE for u all today!

this happened at the Fort Dix RT68 main gate. love them Air Force MP's. After a random vehicle search one of the MP at the front of my car closed my hood with the hood prop STILL UP!!! he forced it down and bent my hood and cracked the paint, and looks like . I was around back and the hatch was up so i didn't notice. dumb****s. I didn't expect them to close my doors and ****, i opened them. I filed a report and the USAF will be paying for this.

yeah, make sure you go to base legal too.

also, when i was base security over in japan, we never closed the doors, hood or trunk. we left them open, and told the owners to close them.

exactly. I was assuming i would close everything, but they did it. i didn't really want them to and it didn't compute right away to me. they coulda closed all but the hood.

the only thing i'd be careful about is:

1. did you sign a wavier prior to having the car inspected? cause some of those waivers claim "we are not responseable for any damage to the vehicle during the inspection."

2. i know the base i was at in japan, when you got your base decals, the statment above was in the paper work your sign for the decal.

no waiver, i have no decal, dont need them for fort dix. I am a contractor AND reserve right now. the MP knows he was wrong, they told me he was wrong, and they said they will have to pay for it.

I was active duty for 5 years, and I know if it happens on base, u r covered. the fact that the MP did it makes me perfectly in the right :D
