Lol, thats why neons are the greatest. No one has respect for them, everyone just sees them as cheap crappy econo box's. Untill a crazy person like me decides to put a little bit of money and romps on cars that cost 30x more.

Yes always, the end. You can't take away 2+ inches of suspension bump travel from a car and still have it drive and/or handle properly anywhere other than race tracks, you just can't and that's the end of it. The car will either pound into the bump stops constantly which induces about the worst thing possible which is infinite spring rate or you will have to run such an extreme spring rate that it may as well be on the bloody bump stops! Car companies spend millions of dollars on R&D to build a car's suspension, you just can't chop 2 inches of travel off of what they built without seriously affecting the handling and/or ride quality, it's physics, it can't be argued. Lowering a car effects so many more things than just bump steer, just off the top of my head, roll center, camber, anti-dive, ackerman, scrub radius, the list goes on and on. Look at built up track day cars or autocross cars that are still using factory suspension components and %99 of them that are fast are at sane ride heights. Come out to an autocross and I'll take you out for a ride in a car that truly corners well so that you have a proper benchmark of what does and doesn't handle well

Ciotti, what about real coilovers? Not the ebay sleeve kind that you slip over the stock struts, true one piece coilovers. I know mine its same suspension travel no matter how low i go because all i did was move the strut clevis up higher. And there 32-way dampening adjustable. I wasnt baller enough to get the pillowball top hats though with all the fancy adjustment.
Yeah, idk. CF trunks are hard to come by, since i was debating on painting the hood gloss black to do the roof and trunk black too? But still unsure. I like the hood black with the black housing headlights and signal lenses. Took the car for a ride tonight and took a quick vid. Little 2 - 3 pull on 10 lbs with as much fuel that i could throw at it with the rrfpr. You can hear a little ewg action but the vids not that great. And u can see by the speedo i wasnt speeding

But the black hood and black trunk would be sick. Idk about the black roof tho. Do it up with the trunk and hood first IMO... And then pick up one of these lips and your **** mite even be swag approved. Lol

When you look at these slammed cars, regardless of how nice the springs or shocks or coilovers it has are, the rocker panels are an inch off the ruddy ground so the springs have to be super hard to keep it from bottoming out which makes the ride terrible or if the springs aren't hard enough it will bang rub and scrape everywhere it goes. Either way it's no picnic that's for sure

^he speaks truths^
the previous owner of my truck threw a belltech lowering kit that lowers the truck 2" in the front, and 3" in the back. unless im driving on a freshly paved road, its a nightmare. and my trucks an xtreme so the zq8 suspension lowers it another 2" on top of my lowering kit. thats 4"/5" lower than a regular 2 door, 2wd blazer. Its a fun truck dont get me wrong, but it's not truely meant for anything other than a really smooth street/track.

Ciotti knows nothing about suspension. My black supra is on stock suspension and rides horrible while my red supra is on tein HA's and rides/turns sweet as hell.

You can make a slammed car handle well, perhaps not as well as an almighty "AutoX" car but it can handle well. And as far as the things you've pointed out, assuming you're dealing with a well supported chassis (like a 240sx or even a Civic) you can remedy them. |

Lol I was joking about the suspension thing.
I blew the differential today. Sweet.

I'm looking at them now. I'd love a TRD one but almost $1k for one is a little steep.
