I walked through that neighborhood for 3 years to go to school 3 blocks away on 10th and Vine. Lj (GUnit33), Greddy2000, Evltalon and I were down in the area Friday night on Race with no problems. Other than the loud noises and flashes of light...
If you don't like Philly, don't go.

Try CarVersion2 in DE for a dyno. They use Dynapacks. I can't post a website address, they aren't vendors here.

Talk to Andy from Xotic (SinistiR).

And on the WRX, maybe it was a bad day to dyno. 212whp is fine for a Utec Stg.2 untuned, but 300+ lbs. is way off. Probably should have been 215-220 lbs. at the most.

Im not saying if you where there for the reason of the dyno. While we were there some whack job started going nuts sayign stuff bout killing people and talking all this ****. Im not sayign that makes it a bad neighborhood but you cant say its the best when your parking modded evo's and sti's in a unattended lot where you cant see whats going on. Added all the strange/ homeless people walking around. Maybe thats the reason the guy you knows car got keyed or whatever.
Lets get this back on topic before its gets closed.

It would help to know how to set up the dyno alt. 4500ft and 17% humidity @ 92.3* in sept. So I have know real idea how much power my Spec V put down, but one of the dyno correction calculators came up with a correctionof 1.206. That would put the # @ 343.08 whp and 318.74 wtq .

we should go then. i didnt even know we had one that close. ive heard to stay away from mustang dynos though because of inaccurate numbers?

maybe this would be a good time to ask if someone might point out some differences in dynos and calculations to better evaluate my choice/situation.

to make a long story short, we've got about 8 dyno sheets on mazda bp motors baseline vs mods and there's some scary numbers showing. while so many factors can create variations in numbers we're seeing an odd trend of i/e/h + timing advance creating only 1-3whp increases from what our baseline SHOULD be. i know peak numbers shouldn't be the only evaluation, but when we have dyno sheets showing a stock motor with a advanced timing creates 5whp but add in all the other mods and we're barely seeing 2whp, something is weird and I've seen random sheets showing moderate to more accurate gains from those mods. (i.e. stock motor with timing and cone filter plowed a mid/high 15 and dyno'd into the 120whp range) so i wanna go test this out now, especially since my motor is tired and being pulled soon.

when it comes to a dyno being correct if one side (tourqe reading) is worng so is the other side (hp reading). thats what it comes down to when running a dyno. i understand the horse power SEEMS about right but it isnt if the tourqe is off BY THAT MUCH. theres sumtin real fishy about it

OK mustang dyno's are found to read the lowest in hp and tq numbers but dyno packs are found to be the best for tuning cause they can read the almost exact tq numbers.

PDX tuning recently posted about their mustang dyno compared to a dynojet in the area. they did a pull with their STi on their dyno and made 414 whp, then they drove it right over to this dynojet dyno in the area and without making any changes they made 464 whp... and thats really not uncommon.

I do not dissagree with anything you said at all, Bryan. I have had some personal problems from experiance from this shop and I don't really want to publically state it on a forum. I am simply stating that I and my friends(some not on TST) have not had a good experiance/tune from them. I am not here to completely tell everyone they are crap but I am just warning that I and a couple others did not get what they thought was satisfactory out of the shop....It is up to you to make your decision, it is your money not mine, I am stating that I had a bad experiance.

www.precisiondynosucks.com is a site that was created by a customer that had his engine blow up because of Nicks tune. I have countless other customers that have come to me personally to get the dirt on this guy.

I REPEAT!!!!...........DO NOT GO TO PRECISION DYNO TUNING FOR ANYTHING!!!!!

Here are threads on a subby forum that will shed some light for you...and here are a few other threads from evo forum.
