Mike Fitzpatrick from AP analyzes the WS teams, LOLing ensues

http://www.mail.com/Article.aspx/spo...Curr=5&pNext=6

This has got to be one of the most lopsided and worse written articles in sports history. This guy definitely has a hard-on for the Yankees and won't even fairly critique all the positions properly. For example: When he describes Jeter all he talks about is the 1996-2000 era as if he were the same player. He is not. He also thinks Jorge Posada is a better catcher than Carlos Ruiz? Are you ****ing kidding me? Jorge Posada, even being Puerto Rican(so am I), isn't half the catcher Carlos Ruiz is. This guy doesn't know a lick of baseball, and if he does, he was probably the only guy in the office with a teeny weeny bit of knowledge to write an article that would be put, of all places, online and not in print. I hope some of you email this failure like I am doing. I was expecting some objective comparison, but all I got was when he gave a Phillies position player the "edge" he had to follow it with something like "in a close call" or "barely". Also, since when is Ibanez a DH and Francisco a starting LF? WTF!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I kinda like the call putting inanez in for dh and fransico in left, he is a better fielder and is faster.

as a sox fan, and former resident of philly, i can wait to see the phillies dominate the yankees.

i want to see their 211,000,000 payroll fail miserably.
i want to see a-rod retire without a ring
i want to see jeter never win again

most importantly-
i want to see their 1.5billion dollar stadium go 100 years without a victory

Francisco is a terrible bat. The only thing I give Francisco is the speed. He isn't a better glove than Ibanez by far. Also, Ibanez has a more accurate arm. After the numbers that Ibanez has put up I can not believe that call by Manuel.

That's a pity pick. He also said Dodgers in 7 for the NLCS. The guy knows as much about Baseball as I know about watering flowers in Abu Dhabi.

Why would he play in one ballpark and sit in the other? They're both basically the same. They're both small parks built for home runs. It makes no sense to sit Ibanez after proving himself time and time again. That's more of a punishment than a "sound managerial move".

Because fransisco is better in the field he is faster and has a better glove but inanez hits better, so thy can use ibanez bat as dh in ny and fransiscos glove and ibanez will play in Philly unless fransisco goes on a crazy tear.
