Anyone here use Final Cut Express 4? I'm trying to extend the duration of a clip I made in Live Type, and have moved to FCE 4. Issue it, I cannot change the duration of it when in FCE 4. This has never happened before. Any idea's are much appreciated!

well if the clip of the livetype file is at its max. you can't extend the duration of it. so just go back into livetype and make it longer

In Live Type it's 16 mins, exactly what I need it to be. When I pull it into FCE it drops to 5.29 seconds.

is your out point 16 mins or 5.29 secs. cause if the outpoint is only 5 seconds. thats all it will export as

I'll double check, but I clicked Duration in Live Type and changed it to 16 mins. Do I also have to add an out point?

Never used live type, but in all of these programs you need to set your in/out markers in the time line before exporting.
