Is there a problem if to my pictures are taken on it??? Like will I need to replace something on it? Like if something was to wear out on it. Is there an unlimited amount of pictures that can be taken on it?

Do you have a dslr? I think the nikons are supposed to be good for like 100k actuations or something like that.

Most modern SLR cameras go well over 100k with ease, I'd be inclined to say over 150k but not sure exactly. Most casual shooters will be hard pressed to use it so much that it breaks, you'll likely drop it a few times before even reaching 10k LOL

i think the consumer nikons are rated at like 50k, and the pro level ones 100k, but I could be wrong.

but like you said, 50k is a TON of photos

It's something I've never worried about because you'll likely break the camera from dropping it or simply upgrade long before reaching the "max shutter count" which in reality doesn't even exist, it's more a guesstimate that you shouldn't even think about. Just enjoy shooting. Just for the sake of argument, here is something for the hobbyist shooters.

If your camera is "rated to 150k shots" and you do 100 actuations a week, your camera should in theory "last you" over 28 years....not something to think about, I try to improve my shots rather than worry about conserving my equipment.

Well if you plan on shooting 5,000 more shots, then yes?

The thing is, that 100k is what Nikon rates the shutters minimum life at. Plenty of people have well over that on their shutters with no issues.

edit: id be curious to know what you have shot 95k photos of?
