He even had 2 cameras mounted on the car. Videos coming soon.

Happen at BM09? What a shame.

I almost had a spin at a meet a few years back. Ended up saving it but it was very very close.

People dont realize that even if the tires dont have that many miles on them the rubber will still break down and become weak and brittle.

Couldn't say it better myself. When I was at a tech school for parts and service management and we leaned how to see a tires age by the markings on it and we also learned how some stores don't rotate their stock and sell people some pretty old stuff.

There are no pictures of the tire(s) as of yet. I'll post em up if they show.

Just a quick Tire lesson...B/c I'm full of usless BS...There is a Date on the tire in which it was manufactured...It breaks it down by month day and year....Most people probably arent aware of them existing but there on there...Anyway, If you ever need to know how old your tires are just look on the sidewall for a number written in a date format and the last digits are the year they were made.

I worked at goodyear...I think the longest set I ever took off a car were 15 years plus...The rubber was damn near paper like after we dismounted them bad boys.

my favorite is going to dismount tires and the tire just pretty much explodes causing my hands to get torn up by the steel belts.

I have no idea how old this tire was but the tread just came off as a whole strip. Read those dates.

Another reason why I don't buy cheap tires. I doubt it was the tire failing more then it was it just being a crappy tire with the perfect conditions for it to spin out. Were they more summer tires? How cold was it out? Looks like the ground could possibly be a little damp there on top of leaves on the road. There are plenty of factors into it instead of just blaming a tire. Maybe it split way before that and the driver never noticed. Yea it sucks but you should really look over your car every once and a while.
