besides... no one with any intelligence would go into a real fight using capoeira. Its more of a social acrobatic type of thing with some roots in martial arts. jujitsu i believe...

i looked into it a while ago as a form of exercise b/c it is really excellent for that. found a place that taught it for free... turned out to be in the middle of the ghetto and was mainly an excuse to get black kids off the street.

and no, Mark Dacascos wasn't the teacher

Are some of you mentally disabled?

Capoeira isn't break dancing. It's a form of martial arts. I honestly don't know how they'd be able to teach you to throw your body around like this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GyxBLuJbMis

I doubt that can be taught. I'm just sayin...

That can be taught. It's just like (and i'm sorry for the reference, because i know this isn't a sport but) cheerleading. Those girls don't just run out there and flip out of no where. They are taught

Capoeira is like tai chi, it's a great way to stay in shape and keep sharp, for when you study other martial arts

1st its from the movie never back down, and 2nd its actually a style of fighting, done correctly its very affective against other fighting styles. and brazilian dance fighting aka capoeira is nothing like tai chi.. at all
