The purpose of this thread is to give you a place to converse, not post useless babble.
This thread is a test run to see how things go. I hope it goes well, but if it doesn't then the thread will be closed. Its not exactly a priority for TST to have a single off topic thread that users post in without contributing to the forum in any other way, but I'm doing what I can here to be flexible for the sake of the guys who do get it and are appreciative.
I'm giving you guys a place to hang out and talk to each other so I hope that you recognize that and at the very least attempt to make it work.

And Cepa... I'm really glad you brought it up because I didn't want to upset you or anything since you did buy the stickers and all. I don't really know how to say it but I think getting rid of the TST stickers is probably best. It would be a shame for anyone to confuse you with representing what TST is about when you pull into a lot with your open downpipe revving your engine to try and get just a little bit more attention. Actually now that I think about it your post above is kind of like the internet equivalent of that, huh?

Im pretty sure other members are mad / upset due to extreme moderator hypocrisy. Nothing more nothing less.

can you please explain the extreme moderator hypocrisy? and if any members are so upset, why don't they find a less terrible place to spend their time? i've recommended that on multiple occasions but it always seems to go ignored...

And we do appreciate that man, there are a whole bunch of us in here that do browse around the rest of the site contributing to other posts and clicking your sponsors links to help you out which we will continue to do as long as we have this one little spot to talk to each-other. The alternative would be us starting a new thread every time we wanted to bring up another topic with each-other which would just be a complete train wreck in the off topic forum so I feel like this thread works for everyone.

It could be because everyone loves to hate big brother or "the man" so they take out their frustrations on you and the mods. I ran a forum for a number of years and would get that from new members from time to time and I would just tell them to eat **** and then ban them

It was brought up in the other thread hense the reason for thread locking. To me it seemed like a bit of an ego trip.
From an outside perspective the old thread has been operating without a problem for a little while. Locking the thread when obvious hypocrisy was brought up seemed nothing more than an ego trip. But again you are the mod you run this thing your word is final.

Actually, I acted immediately on the old thread once there were multiple reported posts pointing to it, and I also acted immediately to the other thread that was linked to as well. What would have been hypocritical would be to act on one without the other, so perhaps you meant to say that I am being surprisingly just and fair? Its ok, I understand what you meant, and am glad you see clearly now

I could show you the 2-3 week old thread in the moderator section discussing the problem that the old thread was creating because it did not fit in with the established rules of the site and made a mess of a meet thread, but I won't because its not for public consumption. Its there, and it is one of many moderating topics that are continually 'pending' among the moderating team.

It would be more helpful to everyone here stop for a minute and realize that this is a bit of a 'partnership' and if you cooperate then I will too. If you act rebellious and keep pushing things and create problems, then there isn't much reason for me to be continue to be flexible and allow this thread, which is still an exception to the forum rules. I'm sure you'll agree there are no other threads like this, especially in a regional section.

Quoted for truth

Everyone please just drop it and lets move on and talk about our normal shenanigans...

Here I'll start... Art and Alex you're cars break down more than they run and you hate me for no reason or because mine doesn't, James you are a bad driver and you crashed your Supra, Sean you're slow, Steve you're a perv, John Michael you're a lanky rat that kicks things, Dustin you're too smart for your own good, Cepa you're a ricer, and Ricky you're 240 will never be done and even if it is you'll just melt the clutch again
