Another healthcare thread.

Follow the link below for a good read, on how some people handle their healthcare.

If more of this were done, more money allowed to be placed in it, and more people educated, then alot of the "issues" would not be issues at all.

I actually like the idea of the HSA's. I like how it leaves room for negotiating to lower costs. I also like the example of a doctor admitting that a certain test didn't really need to be taken after he realized the patient would be paying for it himself, and not paid by an insurance Company (big reason costs are so high now from Doctors testing for profit). The current bill Obama proposes has this same concept in place but of course the right wingers called it "rationing" and that someone else will be choosing your care to scare the public out of it.

Only problem I see with the HSA's would be funds running out after a major accident or serious sickness like cancer, etc. leaving an American, a human being without the ability to get treatment.

Good article!

You should of checked with outlawzprez though before posting this. If I'm correct he runs the topic of healthcare

You can negotiate better prices and needed testing procedures with your doctor right now! People with insurance usually can't be bothered to do so, therefore insurance premiums should be high. I don't understand why you think a gov't run plan would be any better?
