Need help with buying a Blackberry
- Support Available - programs or applications available - Why does everyone have one - Is the support for these bad (customer service I heard was in India) - And whats the general Pro's and Con's Currently I have the crappy Samsung Instinct. I need e-mail (ability to open attachments), internet (Full internet, not mobile internet), music, text, send and recieve pictures, GPS. This is the one I am looking at. http://www.cellstores.com/specialoff...268cae1b34a687 I have sprint and they will give me a discount if I put up with there horrible reception if I sign up for two years again. So if you know of another blackberry that is compatible WITH sprint then let ME know Last edited by importpower99; 09-22-2009 at 10:03 PM. |

Your link goes to a Palm phone...
Get the 8900 and never look back.

What is it about the instinct exactly that you didn't like? It had a voice guided GPS, i believe opera was available for it so you could get full internet, SMS, MMS. Other then the attachments it does everything you mentioned. The Pre and Curve 8900 are both very good phones with lots of support and definitely an upgrade to the instinct in terms of third party support and overall use of them. I know the Blackberry App store has thousands of applications from games to organizers and stuff, haven't really played with the pre apps but it has many also and i hear since its a web based operating system then it'll be one of the first 4g phones which sprint is releasing in philly within the next few months. If your in the Philly area pm me, i might be able to get you some deals.

E-mails- Either I can't open attachments, or it won't let me read the e-mail at all Keyboard- The touch screen sucks, never again will I get a phone with a touch screen key pad Applications- (news, weather) take to long to load, if they feel like loading Calender- Hard to organize task, and you can't put notes in there with that adgenda..like a name or client you are suppose to meet No after market support-It was suppose to be better then the I-phone and have just as many apps, but it has like twenty sh**ty ones Freezes constantly- (everyother day), but it only does it when I need to use it right away. (yes I know most smart phones do this) Music- With my 8gb memory card, it takes one minute to load my music page.(Yes a minute is a long time, when you just want to hear one song play) Internet- This pissed me off the worst. It is horrible to use. You can only go on certain websites. Most the sites you go to are mobile web sites, not full internet browser. And zooming in and out is a pain. And explain a little bit more of this connection you have and a 4G phone... What is MMS? /crying |

Well can't argue with all that because I've never actually owned one I just sell them and had a few coworkers that just loved them.
I work at a radioshack (any more you can ask through pm). MMS is multi media message (picture, video, basically anything other then text message) I know the blackberry has a great calender that fairly easily syncs up with outlook. You need to actually see how you like these phones in person, they all look good online.

I'm on my second curve 8310 and I love it. It's user friendly, has a lot of options, the app list is pretty decent. I use mine for both work and personal use and am really happy with it all around.
A friend of mine works at my local ATT store and said that BB has a whole bunch of new phones coming out over the next few months, so if you can hold off, you may want to wait. I'm waiting for the new curve; it looks like the old curve and the bold had a baby. |

I've come to love the blackberry os. It just makes so much more sense than windows mobile. You'll like the curve. There's a couple useful tips on my forum (link below).
