acoustic guitar pickups

any recommendations for acoustic guitar pickups?
i want something cheap, just for playing out, but i also want something that wont require any drilling or installing volume knobs since this is going on a nice Martin guitar.

i was originally thinking of getting the dean markley, but i dont know if i want something i have to keep constantly removing.

right now im thinking of the martin thin line series.

any opinions?

You might also check out the Fishman line as a comparison against the Martin thinlines. My Martin is an acous/elec w/o an EQ or preamp on-board. Jack goes right into the strap peg on the base of the body, and my Ibanez also has it integrated, so I don't have experience with any of the plug and play acoustic pickups...

Good idea, i forgot all about those.

Only thing im worried about is the installation. Most of those go under the bridge, and im worried that if i remove it, i might somehow throw the intonation off.

Have you tried calling Martin? They are usually very helpful with things like these. Some of the Fishmans slide snug into the sound hole and tighten with screws/clamps. Looks like it has felt or rubber to prevent marks or scratches...

What kind of Martin do you have?

I have this in my Martin:
http://www.deanmarkley.com/Pickups/Trilogy.shtml

I have been pretty satisfied with it. It's great beacuse you can blend each type of pickup to give you whatever sound you like. The only downside is that it does have a bridge pickup, but the good outweighs the bad in my opinion.
