Who here runs/has run it? Have you been happy with it? I need to get fluid for the Conquest's trans today, and was going to pick some up. All my buddies are recommending it, but reading some threads I'm now hesitant in my purchase.

i think its good ****. its expensive thats for sure. i run royal purple in my trans am tho.

There are better alternatives that are cheaper IMO. Like the SRT everyone says run the mopar ****, but there is better stuff out there

What do you all recommend? I usually run Royal Purple in my schtuff, but this is a new ride to me.

I think it's a matter of preference, I run AMSOIL and swear by it.

I can get a good deal on it.

I can buy RP with Syncromesh for arround $65 for 6 quarts. PM me if you want me to order. I'm about to place an order tonight for my GTO as well. maybe I can get cheaper if I do bulk

I ran it in my mazdaspeed protege and liked it. It was expensive but i wanted to give it a try.

i ran synchromesh in my old civic i had and it did great, my trans had a hard time going into 4th gear put that in it and ran it for a while and it did great. in my t56 now i have amsoil and it shifts nice and smooth so its really up to you. are you having a hard time shifting? or just doing a change? if just a change RP or amsoil for sure!

Thanks all. This is for the Conquest. It's completely drained of fluids, minus engine oil. So we're filling things back up. Now that it's mine, I want good stop.

BTW: $64 for 3 qt's of Royal Purple Synchromax manual trans fluid... ugh.

EDIT: I found it cheaper now through a friend. She can get 3 quarts for me for $24. Damn

Back to Pep Boys I go for a refund.

Yah I saw your post but I needed it last night. It's wrong anyway lol. I am buying this stuff instead for the trans (3 qt's) and the rear diff (2 qt's):

Pep Boys has such a ridiculous markup. I knew it was bad, but had no idea 'til this whole episode.

Actually, I've found that the Evo MR 6spd gear oil to do wonders. Synchromesh does do it's job well, but I've had zero problems with the MR stuff.

Thats a good deal. I actually need the gear oil. I need 2 quarts of it lol I can't find a deal on that. Only on the syncromesh trans fluid.

btw, most stores carry pensoil synchromesh. its the same stuff as the GM one, and is about 7 bucks a bottle. ive been using that stuff for years. works great and shifts smooth.

Please dont put quality oils like amsoil and redline in the same catagory as royale purple. RP is garbage.
