Probably Bilstein PSS9's. I'm toying with that or Koni adjustable shocks and H&R springs. The Koni's will be slightly cheaper but the Billy's will allow me to slam it pretty good ;)

Hmnm from an MR2 perspective, both are awesome choices. The JSpec MR2s from 94-98 came with Blisten shocks and everyone raves about them and the fact that they are factory and so much better than US Spec and last forever.

The Koni/H&R red springs are the #1 used shock/spring combo for us 2nd Gen guys. Close second is Tockico Illumina.

I've driven cars with both setups and for a DD setup loved the Konis to death. They are soft enough for normal driving but can really take the abuse that coilovers can on a smaller scale... Only problem is that they are $3-400 EACH I think hehe. Good choices tho man, I'm curious to see what you go with. If you need help putting them in I'd be glad to help since you are being so kind to accomidate my motor install!

Nah,

I found the Billy's for $1400 and the Koni's for $599 + $232 for springs, so significantly less. I just wonder if I can get the coilovers to really be streetable. I have a set of coilovers (unknown brand) in my garage from my friend's 1995 corolla. He just couldn't get it to behave so he went with KYB GR2 instead (which is seriously nice).

i'm sure you can be streetable on coilovers. Especially Blistens. I mean if we were talking about Skunk 2 or some crappy brand then I'd say good luck but it also depends on what "streetable" is to you ya know?

GR-2s are awesome for what they are. I rode them on my old red car with Tanabe springs and they were more than I ever expected. Loved em for the price I paid and it was the best of both worlds when it came to street or hard driving. I'm glad I have adjustables now though because I want to really see what the car can do at auto-x

I was actually going to start autocrossing this year until I figured out my head gasket is leaking oil. I decided against it after that because it's stupid to track a car that isn't ready for it IMHO.
