i need to borrow a radar detector 5/31 to 6/7. im driving to miami and wanna have one just in case. anyone got an extra one laying around?

Do you know how to properly use a radar detector?

you cant just go speeding even though you have one.

And you know if they catch you in VA with it, they will ticket you, take it and make you drive over it. Or atleast that is what they did to me back in the day.

Definately dont speed in VA...

Driving 10-19 MPH over the speed limit: 4 points
Driving more than 20 MPH over the speed limit: 6 points

and on top of that apparently they are very! strict about speeding there.

Head to Radio Shack. I was in one this morning and they have a decent Cobra radar detector on clearance for $30..

I don't know if it was mentioned, but detectors are illegal in VA too.

Also don't get nailed in South Carolina... mandatory court date, no mailing it in!

I've driven to Key West 3 times, I always start using a detector but by Baltimore / DC I just turn it off set cruise at 5-7mph above, depending on traffic and cruise. You know when you can go fast and how to read brake lights right? You'll be fine :P

If your in Miami it's so worth a day trip or more. Key Largo which is the one of the northern most keys and is about 1-2 hour south of Miami IIRC. Drive Route 1 south some 130 miles or so to reach Key West. But the drive is jaw dropping! Just do the speed limit on Big Pine Key, it's a wildlife refugee and they will pull you over if your doing the speed limit :/

You can Snorkel, Scuba, Sky Dive, Sportfish, Sail, Sun, Beach, Shop. It's a beautiful time even during a hurricane. Were hoping to fly in for NYE! This time of the year is a little warm, but it's gonna be cooler then miami by 15 degrees or more.
