someone fill me in on "flat-shifting". same as power-shifting (which i've always been too afraid to do) aka. shifting gears without using the clutch to disengage flywheel and trans.? idk.

but I guess that would explain why the car is bucking like a bronco. Hopefully it wasn't just a half-ass wratchet strap job.

And oh yeah, pretty sure that car would be more fun than a go-cart.

Flat foot shifting is shifting without ever letting off the throttle. He's still @ WOT in between shifts and just shifting fast as balls. Its just a stress test on the dyno.

Not letting off the gas when you shift. Not using the clutch is just stupid. It can be done, but it's stupid.

lol I know right? They have a legit reason to be doing it, better then doing 140+ on the streets lol. Plus...its just badass seeing it rip on the dyno like that.

Ill completely agree, im known to flatshift 1-2,2-3,3-4 and by then i would be at the 1/4mile.

Flatshift is your clutches new best friend. I promise it will only hurt a little bit.

I think AEM and KPro have parameters to tune for flatshifting, so it's probably not just useless or for show. Watch some more of the Lotus's with K20's in them on youtube. They're no joke.
