I got to run an old guy in a 135i tonight. His exhaust smelled rich as ****, so I'm thinking he was chipped.

I couldn't gain on him or reel him back in from the jump he had. I sat there pacing him at WOT from 2nd into 5th. That hasn't happened to me before.

Need more power.

Wow, that was one bad 135. They are quick cars though even stock. Too bad we'll most likely never know what that one was running.

Btw, I'm incredibly jealous of your RCE sways, they don't make them for my Leggy.

Yeah, it was. You figure my car is a mid to high 12 second car. Something was up with it, the raw fuel smell out of his exhaust couldn't be like that from the factory...the exhaust didn't look OEM either but I'm not sure so who knows.

haha thanks. The rear bar is awesome, still waiting on the front. TiC has them in stock, but I'd rather wait a year from RCE before supporting TiC ever again.

I played Powerball last night and lost, haha. Didn't expect to win anything but I really would like to get a FMIC, EWG, 850s, and a Blouch 20g on the car.

Ah well...

Picking up a set of 245/40/18 Dunlop SP 600's tomorrow off a guy in Jersey. 60 miles on them. $500 for all 4.

They're the stock 2008+ STi tire...Luke at Tire Rack compares them to my current PS2's.

I'd love to get the Star Specs, or RE11, but I'm having to crunch down on my budget...this saves me a good $300-500...

I'm thinking I may just bite the bullet and get the star specs. The harder question is whether to put them on my stock rims and buy coilovers, or buy new summer rims and put them on there. (minus coilovers) And also decide whether to go 17 or 18". *sigh* choices choices

18" summer wheels and coilovers...but i'm biased. ;)

the T2's just ride better with the 18's over 17's.

I dislike their attitude and way of selling their products by talking down about the competition.

New tires are on. They look great Big improvement over my burned out PS2s, I haven't gotten them to squeal yet, but I've read that they're noisy. We'll see Grip is good!

you can see the dba 4000's in the one pic too:

so i've had a recurring problem with the idle on my car and i need some suggestions. when driving and coming to a complete stop, the car will stop at 700-1000 rpms, then drop down to 100 rpms sputter, and shoot back up to 1200 rpms. it will also stall out sometimes when it drops down suddenly too. i've cleaned the MAF, plugs were changed and the air filter was cleaned. any ideas on what else to check?

ryan, could you check for vacuum leaks on it? i'm not sure what else it could be at this point...the tune shows my AF short term and long term trims to be fine?

small update:

Paid for the RCE front swaybar that I had pre-ordered. Should be here sometime next week...maybe I'll get lucky and it'll get here before the weekend. This means that my Whiteline 27-29mm front swaybar will be up for sale then shortly after. Since I haven't sold the rear bar yet, I'll probably offer a combo price on the two bars. I'm pretty surprised that no one has picked the rear bar up yet, but maybe the combo will get it done since its so popular to run them set at 27/24.

Have the Botox Bolts sitting around ready to go in.

Also have the group n bushings and whiteline rca kit ready to go in after I get paid.

I gotta Zaino the car too...I'll be starting from scratch since it hasn't been done since last summer, so I'll need a good 4 hours I think, haha. Dawn wash the car, claybar it, dawn wash it again, then go through all of the steps...plus I want to clean my wheels.

Hooray...summer is almost here ;)

Hoping to get in an HPDE at Pocono on the 30th next month, but we'll see.

coming at you live from my garage!

botox bolts installed, very easy once i grabbed a 10mm hex tipped socket.

due to the rear sway, x-brace, dif and subframe bushings i've had on there, i don't notice too much of a difference with these bolts. quick rip around some turns had the rear end staying more level, but i can't tell much more than that...ah well...my rear suspension really is just about complete so maybe on a car without everything else you can notice more?

time to wash it, although i doubt i have enough sunlight to get through all the zaino steps today....hmmm...

front swaybar still in fedex's possession...was hoping to do that this weekend too, but never got delivered.

p/ns are all for the rear lateral links and trailing arms. 12 bushings total. here they are:

B0220FE000 x2
B0220FE010 x2
B0220FE020 x4
B0220FE030 x2
B0220FE040 x2

they're sitting here in little baggies along with the KCA313 RCA kit. I'll order a group n trans mount to throw into the pile, but I may just install that myself, will let you know.
